The speedway season started again full time after the summer break that saw the Italian rider only jump on the bike twice during the month of August. Two meetings of the Italian Championship went underway last weekend 2nd and 3rd of September in Terenzano (Udine).

Paco came in leading the overall standings, and with two second places on both occasions, he still is the leader of the group. Rain off after 16 heats on Saturday which saw Castagna level on points with Covatti that got the win on the countback. On Sunday, Covatti won the Final in front of Castagna and Franchetti.

Paco said: " It's been a good weekend overall, getting second place on both meetings is not enough for sure and i'm not settling down for that, but Championship wise it's not too bad. I really want to push hard to win the next 3 Rounds and finish in style, and get that gold medal home".
