Etienne Bax played an anchor role in ensuring victory for the Dutch tam at the Sidecarcross of Nations at Cingoli, in Italy. Bax teamed up with Finnish passenger Lari Kunnas, who performed exceptionally. "Lari is the real hero today," Bax remarked. "We had no opportunity to train, and were strangers to each other, but he quickly adapted to my riding style, and we rode as if we had been partners for years."
Bax won the first heat, and finished second in the final race. "The track was exceptionally slippery in the second race due to the rain. We didn't do any insane things, and knew that with a second place, we would have done enough to ensure victory for the Dutch team."
This is the last big race outing for the team for the season. They can look back upon an extremely successful campaign during which they raked in three titles, namely the World Championship, Open Dutch Championship and the Sidecarcross of Nations. "It's been a fantastic season for us. We collected three major titles, and we are happy about that. I would like to thank all our sponsors, team members, family, friends, helpers and supporters from the bottom of my heart for all that they have done for us."
