Daytona dominance for Monster Energy® Kawasaki
Round 10 of the Monster Energy® AMA Supercross, an FIM World Championship featured the unique race in the series at Daytona International Speedway, which played in Kawasaki's favor as Monster Energy Kawasaki's Eli Tomac and Monster Energy®/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki's Austin Forkner captured the win in their respective classes, sweeping the top step of the podium at the World Center of Racing.
In 450SX Heat 1, Kawasaki teammate, Joey Savatgy, also rode well in Heat 2 as he grabbed third place when the gate dropped, holding the position all the way to the finish line.
The 450SX Main Event saw both Monster Energy Kawasaki KX™450 motorcycles running up front with Tomac in second and Savatgy in fifth out of the gate. The No. 17 Savatgy followed suit with an impressive ride, capturing a top-5 finish.
"It's nice to be back in Daytona, especially since it was close enough to drive to and have somewhat of a hometown crowd come out and support me. I felt comfortable all night and our speed and consistency has been showing every weekend. The unique track layout here really emphasized our strengths, so I'm feeling pretty good. I'm pumped on a top-5 finish and to earn some more points." - Joey Savatgy
